The Sacred Pause: Restoring Your Energy After the Full Moon
Not long ago, I found myself feeling restless and scattered a few days after a particularly powerful Full Moon. It wasn’t the kind of restlessness that comes from too much caffeine or a busy schedule — it was something deeper.
I had felt expansive during the Full Moon itself — deeply connected to Spirit, inspired, and full of clarity. But as the moon began to wane, that clarity felt distant, and my energy seemed tangled in loose ends I couldn’t quite name.
I remember sitting quietly, wondering why this felt so familiar. And then it clicked — I had felt this way so many times before.
The truth is, the energy stirred during the Full Moon doesn’t just disappear. It continues to move within us, asking to be integrated.
That’s when I realized I needed something simple — something to help me ground this heightened energy so that it could blossom into real transformation.
I turned to my heart and asked, “What do I need right now?”
What followed became a practice I now return to again and again — one that anchors me when I feel unsteady and reminds me that even after the light of the Full Moon fades, my devotion is still creating.
The "Between the Moons" Ritual: A Sacred Pause for Integration
The days after the Full Moon are precious — a quiet space where our hearts can catch up with the insights, emotions, and stirrings that have risen to the surface.
This simple practice is designed to help you reclaim your energy, restore calm, and create space for new intentions to unfold.
Step 1: Create a Quiet Space
Find a place that feels peaceful — somewhere you can breathe deeply without interruption.
Light a candle, play soft music, or place your hands on your heart — whatever invites you to soften and be still.
Step 2: Reflect on What Surfaced
Close your eyes and ask yourself:
💫 What emotions or insights surfaced during the Full Moon?
💫 What still feels unsettled or unresolved inside me?
💫 What part of me is asking to be seen?
Let your thoughts rise without judgment. This isn’t about “figuring it out” — it’s about witnessing yourself with compassion.
Step 3: Release What No Longer Serves You
Imagine a warm golden light flowing down over you — like gentle sunlight melting away tension, confusion, or heaviness.
With each exhale, imagine that light dissolving what’s ready to leave — old patterns, anxious thoughts, or the overwhelm that lingers after intense energetic shifts.
Breathe deeply and let it go.
Step 4: Anchor Your Devotion
Place your hands over your heart and silently say:
“I devote myself to peace. I devote myself to my highest path.”
Let those words resonate — not just in your mind, but in your body. Imagine your heart glowing with steady, calm light — like a lantern that guides you home.
Why This Practice is So Powerful
I used to believe the Full Moon was the “peak” — that once it passed, the energy simply faded. But now I understand that these quiet days afterward are a vital part of the cycle.
This is where true transformation happens.
The Full Moon reveals. The days after the Full Moon are when we have the chance to decide what we’ll carry forward — and what we’re ready to release.
In many ways, this sacred pause is where devotion becomes real — not just as an idea, but as a lived experience.
